Welcome to Local 083 at Oregon State University!
Local 083 represents approximately 1,200 classified employees at Oregon State University.
Local 083 is a sub-local of the statewide Service Employees International Union Local 503, Oregon Public Employees Union.
SEIULocal 503 and Local 083 choose members to negotiate the collective bargaining agreement between classified employees in the state university system and the Oregon University System. The collective bargaining agreement sets the wages and working conditions for all classified employees for the length of the contract.
SEIU Local 503 represents more than 45,000 workers in:
- State and local government (includes Dept. of Administrative Services, Oregon University System)
- Home Care
- Child Care
- Nursing Homes
- Adult Foster Care
- Several private, non-profit health care facilities
