In a world where everyone gives to CAPE, we would have the resources to ensure that all politicians are worker-friendly and we would be able to pass legislation that benefits working families in Oregon.
- There would be health care for all Oregonians Prescription drugs and health care procedures would never be a reason that a family goes bankrupt
- Workers would have the right to organize through majority sign up without fear of firing or retaliation from their boss
- Retirees would have access to fair retirement programs that were supported by their employers and the government
- Seniors would be guaranteed quality care that would not bankrupt their families
- Payday lenders and mortgage brokers would not be allowed to take advantage of low-income Oregonians, but instead there would be caps ensuring that workers are protected
- There would be adequate staffing in nursing homes and hospitals to care for the patients, the bottom line would be the patient’s health not the company’s profit
- Public services would be funded at a level where they can serve Oregonians’ needs
- All kids would have the opportunity to have a higher education at an affordable cost The country would prioritize health care, social security, poverty, and education over a war that costs billions of dollars.
